A proud Ohio native, Joshua Lehman has been a working actor for more than twelve years. He received his Bachelor’s in Music Performance from the University of Valley Forge, where he graduated cum laude. Since graduation, Joshua has been fortunate enough to have performed all over the eastern/central US.
Joshua began his professional career at Sight & Sound Theatres (®) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in their production of JOSEPH in 2011. He returned to the cast recently for JESUS & the world premiere of QUEEN ESHTHER where he originated the role of Elder Levi. He’s since been able to call Lancaster a second home, performing with many companies in the area: including PRiMA Theatre, Servant Stage Company, The Bird-in-Hand Stage, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, & Gravitywell Films.
Joshua was blessed to have worked with Blue Gate Musicals for five seasons. He starred in eight different shows across three of their venues, playing characters ranging from the quirky mailman to a distinguished Amish gentleman. In 2018, he celebrated his 900th performance with BGM.
It was working at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre with Prather Productions where Joshua was privileged to perform some of the greatest Musical Theatre roles on his bucket list. He starred as Alfred P. Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY and Jean Shepherd in A CHRISTMAS STORY. Joshua made his Florida debut when he reprised both roles at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Fort Myers.
Recent projects include playing Eddie Mush in the regional premiere of A BRONX TALE at Broadway Palm, Officer Ward in ANNIE at Maples Repertory Theatre, Dave Bukatinsky in THE FULL MONTY at Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre, Chester in WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD at Timber Lake Playhouse, Walter/Dan in MUSIC OF DENALI with Holland America Princess Cruises, Mr. Mushnik in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Springer Opera, Professor Oswald in THE RAINMAKER at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, and most recently, performing at the Strasburg Railroad for the Christmas season.
Other favorite roles: Coach Van Buren in DAMN YANKEES; Pawnee Bill in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN; Dr. Carrasco in MAN OF LA MANCHA; and Judge Turpin in SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET.
